Sun #31

Yay! One month down! I am so proud of myself for getting through the one month period.

I went and got my hair did tonight at the salon my cousin works at. She let me sit on the floor and play with my hair and make this sun. It was her idea to put the flower on it so it looks like it's got a flower in her hair. She also decided to not sweep it up and leave it to show the girls who come in the next morning. I think it's really cute!

Sun #29

I was cooking chili today and a friend had challenged me to make a sun out of an onion a while ago. I was cutting the onion and decided to make this my sun for today! I hate cutting onions because my eyes are very sensitive to them, I cried the whole time making this! Lol!

Sun #28

Well today has just been one of those days! I just feel like I struggled through the day! I think my Sun really reflects how I was feeling. I actually even struggled to get this done. It is done with these Crayola True to Life Markers that I bought not to long ago.

Sun #22

This is a work in progress! I figured I finished the sun part so I could still post it as my sun for the day. I have an idea to finish outside of the heart. I am painting this for an entry for the Treasure Coast Art Association's Art with a Heart exhibit coming up. I will post a picture when I finish the rest! This was done with acrylics on canvas!

UPDATE! Here is the final finished piece! I am so excited. I like the way it turned out, considering this is my first painting in about 20 years.

Rich's Sun

So while we were out to dinner with friends my friend Rich made this sun! I thought it was kind of gross but it was funny!

Collaboration with The Happy Homemaker! She makes a house everyday! This is a house she called Starter House and invited anybody to use her house for a creative starter for collaboration. As soon as I saw this cute little house I just pictured the sun popping out over it. I hope she likes it! Thank You Madonna for the inspiration.

My idea on this one was to carve a sun into this gemstone. Well silly me didn't think to look up the hardness of the gemstone I was working with. It didn't come out exactly like I wanted but I think the whole etched look, looks kind of cool!

So I found a YouTube video on how to do a Origami Sun! Well it's actually a pinwheel but I thought it kind of looked like a Sun! I loved how it started out as a octagon and then you push it together to make the Sun!

Here is #2! I got an Airbrush Kit for Christmas and decided to give it a try! I haven't touched an Airbrush in over 18 years so I still have a lot of practicing to do with it. I will definitely revisit doing the Airbrush technique again.
