Melted Crayon Sun! I thought I would try a different take with the melted crayon theme. I shaved all the crayons up and placed them how I wanted it. Then I put it in the oven on warm. This is what I ended up with.

Bottle Sun! I went to the Goodwill to see if I could find anything to make a Sun out of. I came across this bottle and it has a Sun design on the bottle, I couldn't pass it up. Well then I decided to try and sketch the bottle. Looking at it in the picture now, I realize my proportions are off. I need to work on my still life drawings.

Silly Putty Sun! I was kind of excited. I bought a 2 pack of the silly putty. It had a red egg and a yellow egg. When I opened the yellow egg the silly putty was yellow. I have never seen yellow silly putty.

SOSAD Sun! So through some of the other 365 Artists, I learned today is Strangely Orange Snack Appreciation Day. The only thing I could find that could be considered strangely orange was some Doritos.

What better way to celebrate both the Summer Solstice and SOSAD, than a Sun Made out of Doritos!

Mini Toothpick Painting Sun! A co-worker inspired me to do this piece. I was over her house and she showed me this painting she did in college that she painted with a toothpick. It was really awesome and was all dots like I did, but she had all kinds of intricate swirls in it. Here is my Sun interpretation of that technique.

Red Sun! This morning when I got up the sun was shining through the window and looked bright red. It's kinda weird when I took the pictures it reversed.

Marker with Water Drops Sun! I saw a drawing using this technique online and knew I wanted to try it. They drew the picture with markers and then put it out in the rain. It was raining today and I thought it would be a perfect chance to try it. Well of course as soon as I start drawing it stopped raining. I took it and laid it in the bathtub and sprinkled water on it. There are spots that I let get to wet, but overall I think it came out pretty interesting.

Cocktail Drink Hangers Sun! This reminds me of my days hanging in Orlando. Going down to Jungle Jim's and drinking some really strong drinks back in the day! They would hang these little animals on the drinks!

Structure of The Sun! I found this template on Canon's Website! I thought what would a Sun project be without a model of the Sun! I printed out the template and cut and glued it together. It took me most of the day to do, but it was fun. It even has a little miniature book about the sun!

Soy Sauce Sun! Well life got in the way a bit tonight! I had to go pick the boyfriend up from work, because he tore his truck apart to fix the A/C, and figured out that it was going to take longer than he expected to fix it. So I went and picked him up and we decided to eat out. By the time I got home it was late. The idea to use soy sauce came because we had Chinese food, Yum!
